There's always a lot to do in the mornings. Between getting ready for work, eating breakfast, and catching up on the daily news—sometimes it's hard to remember the most important things.
These eight verses are great to remember every morning as soon as your feet hit the floor. Instead of starting off your day in a rush you can start off your day by taking a deep breath and listening to the voice of God.
1. Romans 12:2
“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”
2. Proverbs 3:6
“In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths.”
3. Matthew 6:33-34
“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”
4. Isaiah 41:10
“Fear not, for I am with you;
be not dismayed, for I am your God;
I will strengthen you, I will help you,
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
5. Jeremiah 29:11
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
6. Philippians 4:8
“Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.”
7. 2 Timothy 1:7
“For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.”
8. Psalm 118:24
“This is the day that the Lord has made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it.”
