A stray dog had nowhere to go when the weather turned. The storm came rolling in, so that meant this sweet dog needed to find shelter. And that he did.

Not too far off, a wedding was taking place. Marilia and Matheus, who live in Sao Paulo, Brazil, had planned for an outdoor wedding. However, the sky had other plans that day.

As the rain and wind came rolling in, the couple had their wedding under a tent. It wasn't just the couple and their guests who wanted to stay dry that day. A stray pup did as well.

As their guests settled in their seats, a random dog roamed in seeking shelter from the storm. A few guests escorted the wedding crasher back outside — it was a private event after all.

"As the ceremony started, to everyone's surprise, it was the dog who came in when the bridal chorus began to play," Marilia told The Dodo. But a bigger surprise was soon to come!

The stray dog was yet again herded back outside by guests, with them believing everything was finally in order now. As the bride and groom read their vows, the furry, little guy further crashed their wedding in the most adorable way possible.

"The dog entered and laid down to sleep on my veil," Marilia said.

After the third time, no one had the heart to give the dog the boot. He was tired and in need of shelter. After all, a dog lover herself, Marilia didn't mind sharing her day, or her gown, with this sweet dog.

"It was a very pleasant surprise for me because I love animals," she said. "I liked it very much."

The sweet couple allowed the pup to stay the rest of the evening, however, when the night drew to a close, the dog was gone. As the rain let up, the pup apparently slipped out the back. But the story doesn't end there.

After the ceremony was over and the night had ended, the newlyweds decided to track that dog down and adopt him. But if only they could find him again. Many weeks had passed before they received a phone call.

"We decided to adopt him because he is a street dog," Marilia said. "It took us a long time to find him again, but yesterday, we were contacted and told his whereabouts."

"He came home, and I showered him," Marilia said about their new family member, Snoop. "He played a lot, ate, drank water. He is very happy and slept super good the first night."

"We're all very happy," Marilia concluded.
