Cat owner or not, most people know the "cat-astrophic" difficulties a cat owner endures when forcing their cat to go to the vet. The steps need to be strategically planned before even hinting at the idea of getting the cat carrier.
Don't say I didn't warn you. Cats know what the cat carrier means. Before you even begin that step, you need to find your cat, obviously. Once you have found him, you need to be in "lockdown" mode. Close all the doors and lock all the cat doors. The cat cannot leave the room. No exceptions!
Next, make sure you have found that dusty, ol' cat carrier because we all know the last place we put that, right? Now for the dirty work. Time to brave the showdown between you and your cat. Be careful when those claws come out while putting him in the carrier. It's an eye for an eye at this point. Once you've healed your wounds, it's time for the arduous journey to the vets while your cat decides to offer unsolicited, distressful yowling.
This situation is normal. Know that you are not alone. British animator, Simon Tofield, has been in this situation plenty of times and this is why he created a hilarious, short film about a cat owner struggling to get his cat to the vet: "Simon's Cat: Off to the Vet."
“Simon's Cat” is a beloved, animated web series with a slew of videos to keep you laughing all day long. The series is about, well, Simon's cat. The cat is very charming and shows the typical feline antics a cat might have.
"Simon's Cat: Off to the Vet" is now being screened at film festivals across the world. It has already been awarded "The McLaren Award for Best British Animations" at the Edinburgh International Film Festival in 2016.
Without further ado, here's "Simon's Cat: Off to the Vet." Enjoy!
