It’s that wonderful time of year. The time of year where your piping hot mug of coffee is as cold as ice by the time you get to your car. You might as well just be drinking iced coffee because it’s just not quite the same after you heat it up again.
Instead of popping your cold coffee in the microwave, check out these great travel mugs that will keep it nice and hot.
10. Thermos Tea Tumbler
While this is a list of best COFFEE mugs, I’m throwing this one in there for those of you who love tea. This Thermos Tea Tumbler has a mesh tea infuser to make your daily drink nice and convenient. The one downside of this one is that it has a lot of pieces. It also keeps your drink hot for hours, literally hours. Buy it here.
Ello travel mugs look great—and they’re a phenomenal price. They do sacrifice on functionality a little, though. While they keep liquids hot for five or more hours, the lids aren’t double sealed, so they are more likely to leak than some other options. It is dishwasher safe, but several reviewers complained that the white on the mug started to chip off soon after they bought them. The lid also does need to be dismantled regularly for proper cleaning. Buy it here.
The Chantal travel mug looks great—it has a sleek, simple design. To open it, you press a button in the top and can drink from any angle. While most reviewers on Amazon liked this, some said that it just didn’t work for them. It clicks loudly every time it’s opened, so if you need a quiet lid, don’t choose this one. Some reviewers also complained about small spills (nothing too drastic, though). Check it out here.
OXO products are typically high quality for a very reasonable price—and their travel mug is no different. They have a very simple design with several different sizes and colors. It has a button at the top that you press to open and close it. Some reviewers claim that it keeps liquids hot for at least 7 hours. Buy it here.
The Zojirushi travel mug is a winner if you’re looking for one that can keep your drinks extremely hot for a long period of time. It’s a little bit skinnier and taller than some other travel mugs, making it a good option for people with smaller hands. One downside is that it has a flip top, so it takes a little more effort to get to your coffee. Most reviewers didn’t find this to be too much of a problem, though. Apparently because of the flip top, the Zojirushi closely emulates drinking from a mug of coffee, as you can get the aroma of the coffee better than some of the other options. Buy it here.
The LifeSky coffee mug is another stainless steel option. This one has a locking flip-top lid. For some reviewers, the lid was inconvenient to drink out of and the top ran into their faces as they tried to drink it. It looks sleek and comes in several different colors. Buy it here.
This mug, as its name implies, doesn’t go over the top when it comes to special features. It has a simple design and keeps your coffee hot. Aside from that, it’s a very solid travel mug. Another plus is that it’s made to fit into most cup holders. Buy one here.
This is a great option for adventures, but maybe not for the office. At 30oz., it might be a bit large for day to day. It promises to keep ice solid for 24 hours and keep liquids hot for 6 hours. Reviewers love it, but it’s not the most practical option for day-to-day. Check it out here.
Contigo mugs are the go-to travel mugs—and there’s a good reason for it! They keep drinks extremely hot, don’t leak, are priced reasonably, and come in different colors and sizes. The one feature that they’re missing is a handle, so if that’s important to you, this might not be the best option, otherwise, this is a safe bet. Buy it here.
Thermos mugs are another go-to. They have all the great features of Contigo mugs and some options have a handle. While the handle isn’t necessarily the sturdiest, it gets the job done. Thermos mugs also aren’t quite as visually sleek as Contigo mugs, so it’s just a matter of figuring out which features are more important to you. Check it out here.
