A shocking story emerged Tuesday when Corey Feldman claimed that he was attacked late Tuesday night in attempted murder.
Feldman, known for his roles in "The Goonies," "Gremlins," and "Stand by Me," tweeted Tuesday that he had been attacked by a man when stopped at a stop light in L.A.'s San Fernando Valley.
Feldman was with his security team when three men approached the car. When his security team was distracted, another car rolled up and a man jumped out and stabbed Feldman in the stomach.
Feldman wrote, "IM IN THE HOSPITAL! I WAS ATTACKED 2NITE! A MAN OPENED MY CAR DOOR & STABBED ME W SOMETHING! PLEASE SAY PRAYERS 4 US! THANK GOD IT WAS ONLY MYSELF & MY SECURITY IN THE CAR, WHEN 3 MEN APPROACHED! WHILE SECURITY WAS DISTRACTED, W A GUY A CAR PULLED UP & ATTACKED! I’M OK!"
In a later post, Feldman claimed that the LAPD is currently working on the case as an attempted homicide. However, when Fox News reached out to LAPD, they denied that they were investigating.
Officer Luis Garcia told Fox News that the former child actor was stopped at a stop light when Feldman stated that a man made a stabbing motion at his stomach and then took off. Feldman then drove himself to the hospital.
"Upon the investigation [it was] determined there were no lacerations to his abdomen," Garcia said. He also added that Feldman did not describe the weapon nor the alleged attacker.
According to TMZ, Feldman told the police that the attacker was following him. He also said that the attacker allegedly stabbed him with something "long and sharp." TMZ was told that Feldman feared it was a syringe and that he was worried he was injected with something.
