4-Year-Old California Girl Vanishes From Shopping Mall, Police Frantically Searching

There has been some devastating news that has come in from over the weekend. A young girl has been abducted from a shopping center, and police are are asking for the public's help.


An Amber Alert was issued for a 4-year-old California girl who police believe was abducted by her mother. The young girl was removed from her mother's custody and has been in foster care since 2017.


On Thursday, October 17, at a shopping mall in Vancouver, Washington, Aranza Ochoa Lopez vanished while on a supervised visit with her mother, Esmeralda Lopez, 21.


The Vancouver police were notified, but not until several hours had passed, according to "The Mercury News." The Amber Alert was not issued until Saturday afternoon by the California Highway Patrol, who also believes they could be traveling down to Mexico.


Lopez is also a person of interest in a kidnapping and robbery that occurred Wednesday night or early Thursday morning. She is wanted after a man invited her into his apartment and she held him against his will and stole his car.


Lopez and her daughter were last seen in a red 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt with the license plate BLK 1552.


Lopez is described as 5-feet tall, about 138 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes. Aranza is only described as blonde/brown hair and blue eyes.
