Recently, a 7-year-old boy was dragged off a school bus by his feet last week in a terrible incident captured on video.
The boy's mother, Kimberly Hardin, says that her son has suffered a concussion and bruising on his body.
The boy, a student at Robert R. Church Elementary School, says he does not want to go back after he was forcibly removed from the bus by an unidentified male employee.
According to Fox13, the employee was allegedly breaking up a fight. However, Hardin said that her son was not involved in the fight.
Hardin wasn't informed until the following night by a parent. The school district never informed her until days later. She said that she received a message from a parent of another child of the footage.
"Another parent of a child at the school contacted me Friday evening, and she said she had video of the teacher dragging my son of the school bus," the boy's mother told FOX13. " Her son recorded it."
The Shelby County Schools District said that before the camera began rolling, the employee was breaking up a fight. The teacher has been removed from his position at the school while the investigation is still ongoing, according to Shelby County Schools District.
"The safety of our students is always our top priority. This incident was immediately reported to the appropriate authorities, and it remains under investigation. The employee in question has been removed from the school while the matter is being investigated," Shelby County Schools District said in a statement.
Warning: the video may be hard to watch.
The story is still developing as the school district is still investigating. Please keep everyone involved in your prayers as details unfold.
