Stop buying multiple cleaners and other solutions for jobs around the house when you could just use vinegar. Here are eight easy uses for vinegar that you need to know.

Kill weeds

Instead of using an expensive and toxic weed killer, just pour white distilled vinegar on the weeds that grow in your driveway or sidewalk.

Stop itchy skin

Lightly soak a paper towel or cotton ball in vinegar and dab on insect bites or stings. The vinegar will not only stop the itching but disinfect the area as well.

Make your car windows frost-free

Do your car windows keep freezing over in the winter? Coat them in a three parts vinegar, one part water mix and you won’t have to spend extra time scraping ice off your windows in the morning.

Easy hard-boiled eggs

Add two tablespoons of white vinegar to the water and your eggs won’t crack as they cook and the shells will peel off easily.

Clean DVDs

Wipe the dirty DVD down with white distilled vinegar and a soft cloth to clean the disk and prevent skips and freezes.

Loosen a stubborn screw

Pouring vinegar onto the screw will loosen its grip so you can easily remove it.

Remove wax

Use a solution of equal parts white vinegar and water to remove melted wax from your floors or furniture.

Erase crayon marks

Use a toothbrush or washcloth dipped in vinegar and gently scrub the crayon marks on your floor or walls. The vinegar breaks down the crayon wax making it easy to remove.
