A famous musician, who at one time played with B.B. King, has passed away. He is best known as a saxophone player.
His name is Charles Neville. He played in a band called the Neville Brothers. He was 79 years old when he lost his battle to pancreatic cancer.
NPR states, "After a stint in the Navy, Neville relocated to New York, immersing himself in the incomparable '70s jazz scene there, but returned to New Orleans before the end of the decade to play with all three of his brothers."
You may recognize them by a few of their hit songs, like the 1989 Grammy hit, "Healing Chant." The song is deeply rooted in their New Orlean's music background. A very funky and rememberable jazz sound.
Plenty of fans took to Twitter sending their condolences for the lost musician, stating they will always remember him and his music.
You will certainly be missed Charles! You and your family are all in our thoughts and prayers. On that note, we will leave you with one last video of "Yellow Moon," performed by the Neville Brothers in 1990 in New Orleans. Enjoy!
