Beloved Musician Shot By Gunman, In Critical Condition Following 3 Surgeries; Requesting Prayers

There has been some devastating news that has recently come in. A beloved musician has been shot and robbed as he was heading to a concert.

At this time, we are asking our readers to keep him in your thoughts and prayers. Many fans have poured out their condolences to him on multiple social media platforms. Numerous amounts of fellow singers have shared heartfelt messages on Twitter as well.

On Friday, October 5, at about 10:30 p.m. at the corner of 13th Avenue and 4th Street NE, musician Aaron "Hix" Lee and his girlfriend we heading to a show he was about to perform in Minneapolis when a man with a gun appeared behind them, according to reports.

The stranger jumped out of a car the pulled up and he approached the couple from behind. He demanded their phones and wallets. Lee, musician for the band "Red Daughters, and his girlfriend, Katie Szczepaniak did what he asked, however, Katie was able to hide her phone during the whole ordeal.

Thinking it was over when the man started walking away, the man turned around and shot his gun.

Lee was shot in the abdomen, according to reports. The man fled the scene, and Katie called 9-1-1. Bystanders rushed to help aid Lee by providing a towel to help stop the blood.

When emergency responders arrived, they rushed Lee to a nearby hospital. Lee was shot just below his navel; the bullet nicked his colon and lodged itself in his thigh.

Lee had to undergo three surgeries and was listed in critical condition. At this time, according to reports, Lee is expected to recover. Police say they are still investigating the tragic incident; however, no one has been arrested.
