If you live in an area where there might be tigers, you know you shouldn’t mess around with them. Even if you live in a place that doesn’t have tigers, you never want to have a run in.
Recently, Bruce Grubb, a farmer in Peterhead, Scotland was petrified when he saw one of the huge striped cats on his farm. He called the police to come and take care of the cat.
Apparently, the animal was crouched on a ramp in Grubb’s barn. He spoke to “The Scottish Sun,” “I got the fright of my life.”
Officer dispatched several vehicles, including an armed response team. When they arrived they put together a plan to take care of the animal.
They decided to surround the animal and wait to figure out which direction it was going to move. They surrounded the animal at a distance and waited for it to make a move.
But it didn’t.
After 45 minutes, the tiger hadn’t moved a muscle. When the officers got closer, they realized why it hadn’t moved. It was stuffed.
When the officers realized that the “tiger” was just a toy, they were relieved. Though it might seem like Grubb was just trying to prank them, they recognized that he was actually afraid of it.
“Our ultimate aim is to protect the public and keep our officers safe when faced with uncertain situations,” shared one officer. “Until you know exactly what you are dealing with, every option has to be considered. We appreciate that it was a false call made with genuine good intent.”
What a happy—and hilarious—ending to a potentially scary situation! Luckily the police were able to get a good laugh out of it too.
