'The Bachelor' lovebirds Lauren Burnham and Arie Luyendyk, Jr. have just become parents!
On May 29th, the happy couple welcomed their first child, a daughter they named Alessi Ren Luyendyk. Their precious bundle of joy made her grand entrance at 2:09 p.m. on Wednesday and weighed in at a petite 6 pounds, 13 ounces.
The couple had been teasing fans for days before the birth, culminating with some photos with cagey captions.
“A few hours before Luyendyk Jr. revealed that the baby was in fact on its way, the pair posted a photo of a very pregnant Burnham in her hospital gown on their baby’s Instagram page.”
“Is it time yet? #39weekspregnant.”
It WAS, indeed, time! As we soon learned.
The couple met and fell in love when they were both contestants on the 22nd season of the long-running ABC series 'The Bachelor' which premiered on January 1, 2018.
Burnham, who was the runner-up on ‘The Bachelor’ ended up snagging the prize. Arie proposed to Lauren in the ‘After the Final Rose’ special on September 7, 2017. The couple married in January 2019.
Then came the news that the pair were expecting.
“Hey world 👋🏻 turned 11 weeks old yesterday! I’m the size of a fig, imagine that! I have little arms, legs, and I no longer have webbed hands and feet. All my little organs are in place too. Mom is finally not feeling sick anymore, here’s a pic of her ❤️”
Lauren and Arie kept fans posted on the progress of her pregnancy on the Instagram page they created for their daughter, long before she was born.
Then, finally, on May 28th, they posted some happy news. Lauren in a hospital gown next to a beaming Arie as the two prepare to welcome their baby.
Then in Thursday, they shared the joyous news with their fans, introducing little Alessi to the world.
Guaranteed to melt your heart, though, is the photo of daddy and daughter, setting eyes on each other for the first time.
“This was first time she laid eyes on me and I’m forever changed ❤️ Alessi Ren Luyendyk”
Please join us in offering congratulations to the new family of three.
