CNN host Christiane Amanpour and her husband Jamie Rubin have filed for divorce after 20 years together.
According to "The Washington Post," the "golden couple" have decided to go their separate ways after two decades as husband and wife.
The decision to divorce was amicable, and close friends told the news outlet that they plan to remain close friends. The two share a son together, 18-year-old Darius.
60-year-old Amanpour, and 58-year-old Rubin got married in Bracciano, Italy in August 1998, and met in 1997 in Bosnia. Amanpour was on assignment as a chief international correspondent for CNN while Rubin was the U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Public Affairs when they met, according to reports.
Amanpour host the global affairs show called "Amanpour," and lives in London. She recently took over Charlie Rose's one-hour PBS show after several women accused him of sexual misconduct. Rubin has moved to Washington where he is writing and consulting for a lobbying firm, Ballard Partners.
