Amber Alert: Missing 7-Month-Old is in Imminent Danger

March 07, 2018

The Norman Police Department of Norman, Oklahoma have issued an Amber Alert for a missing and endangered 7-month-old child.

The police are searching for the infant named Jody Minjarez. Back on February 19, the police department responded to a domestic assault report on 1500 block of Lakecrest Drive. 31-year-old Victor Manuel Minjarez violently attacked Jody's mother and fled the home with their son.

Just days later, the mother was able to obtain an emergency protection order which also demanded that Jody be returned home to the mother. Victor sent the mother several text messages during that time.

One in particular stood out. Victor told the mother that she would never see her son again. After this threat, the police believed that Jody is now in imminent danger which could lead to bodily harm or death.

Victor was last seen driving a rented U-Haul pickup truck with an unknown license plate.

Now, police believe Victor is driving a light blue BMW, four-door sedan, or a white 2008 Cadillac Escalade, with the Oklahoma license plate: 128KNQ.

Victor is described as a 31-year-old Hispanic male with black hair and brown eyes. He is 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighs 180 pounds.

The suspect is homeless and has no place to stay. Authorities believe he could be staying in a motel or with a friend in the Oklahoma City area.

If anyone knows the whereabouts of 7-month-old Jody Minjarez or Victor Minjarez, please call 9-1-1 or the Norman Police department at 405-321-1444.
