Imagine. Having settled into a comfortable life of Barbies, My Little Ponies, ruffles, ribbons, and lots and lots of all things PINK! Your world resembles exactly what anyone would expect when a family already has five beautiful daughters.
Then, at age 46, you get the news that shakes the very foundation of your world: you are going to have another baby. And this time it’s a BOY!
That’s exactly what has just happened for NBC on-air personality Andrea Canning when she and her husband decided to expand their decidedly female-dominant family by one more.
“The Dateline correspondent, 46, and her husband, USMC Lieutenant Colonel Tony Bancroft, welcomed their sixth child and first son on Tuesday, June 18, her rep confirms exclusively to PEOPLE.”
“George Anthony Bancroft III — who will go by Tripp — weighed 9 lbs., 7 oz., and measured 22 inches.”
The new mom made a formal statement about the huge change for her family of eight.
“We are beyond blessed to have this (big) little man in our lives,” Canning tells PEOPLE.
“His five older sisters are over the moon and ready to welcome the first baby boy into the family!”
With all those little mommies around, little Tripp is sure to get all the love and attention any little boy could ever want.
Please join us in wishing Andrea and Tony all the best as they joyously welcome their new little guy into their big, BIG family!
