It was unexpected but certainly welcomed.
On Wednesday, Princes William and Harry played in a charity polo match in Surrey, and were cheered on by their wives - and their little ones!
Fans were thrilled to see the Duchess of Cambridge and the Duchess of Sussex, whose attendance was not expected but hoped for.
But the icing on the cake was the other four royals who showed up to cheer on their dad and uncle. Duchess Kate was accompanied by her three youngsters, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis.
And, Duchess Meghan, who is still officially on maternity leave, showed up with her little guy, Archie Mountbatten-Windsor who is only two months old.
While dads William and Harry were busy on the polo pitch, their kids were busy stealing the show on the sidelines.
“The Duchess of Sussex, 37, looked every inch the proud mother as she gazed at her baby boy before planting a kiss on his tiny forehead.”
Duchess Meghan dressed casually, wearing a dark green dress and designer Givenchy sunglasses. She and Archie stayed at a nearby parking lot where the shade was plentiful.
Archie remained in his mother’s arms throughout, but little Louis was a different story. He was NOT content to constant confinement in his mother’s embrace.
“The royal toddler looked delighted with himself as he took steps across the grass before being swept up into his mother's arms."
“William and Harry are competing in opposing teams at the King Power Royal Charity Polo Day, which is being held in honour of late Leicester City owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, who died in a helicopter crash in October 2018.”
While it was widely known that William and Harry would be there, it was a complete surprise when their families showed up. And fans couldn’t be more delighted.
Meghan looked happy and healthy as she snuggled her little guy and flashed smile after smile at him. She also interacted with nephew Louis as he carried on with his antics.
Kate definitely had her hands full with her three kids, especially little Louis whom she chased after throughout the day.
Let's hope that today's appearance of the four littlest Royals means more of the same in the near future!
And we can hardly wait!!
