Barry Weiss, the eccentric and extremely popular star of the A&E hit series ‘Storage Wars’ has been involved in a serious motorcycle accident.

Sources say he is in the Intensive Care Unit of a Los Angeles Hospital with broken bones and internal injuries.

Weiss, who took center stage during the first four seasons of the popular A&E series, is a lifelong antique collector and is known for his predilection for classic cars, often appearing in them for the show.

Police said Weiss, 66, was riding with a friend in the Los Feliz area of Los Angeles when a car hit him.

According to TMZ, “A car pulled out from a parking space, apparently without looking, and Barry and his friend slammed into the back of the car. Both went down.”

Both men were taken to the hospital. Updated reports say Weiss is in stable condition but remains in the ICU. Initial reports say that drugs and alcohol were not a factor in the collision.

In 2014, Weiss left ‘Storage Wars’ for his own series, ‘Barry’d Treasure’ which lasted one season. Then, in 2015, Weiss went on to star in another spin-off called ‘Storage Wars: Barry Strikes Back.’

“Alongside friend and colleague Kenny Crossley, he reviews and adds new commentary for past episodes of the series.”

Weiss' biography on the A&E website reads, “Barry is a larger-than-life character with a story for every situation, and his colorful personality brings out the best and the worst of the people around him.

“His wealth of knowledge extends from classic cars to war relics and everything in between. Barry is always looking for an out-of-the-box approach to get his next score and he lacks no shame in his outlandish tactics.

“You can always look to Barry for the great one-liners; he’s never one to bite his tongue.”

2019 has been a difficult year for the original 'Storage Wars' cast. "Just last month ... Darrell Sheets was hospitalized after suffering a heart attack."

Will you join us in praying for Barry, that he makes a full recovery as he recovers from this serious and extremely unwelcome event?
