Many people put up "Beware of Dog" signs to protect their families and their properties. Others put up these signs to make their visitor's laugh. I'd probably be in the latter group.
Interestingly enough, these signs have been found in ancient Roman villas. One, in particular, was found in the "House of the Tragic Poet" in Pompeii, Italy. A mosaic collection was found that had the saying, "cave canem," which means "beware of dog."
The real reason you are here is likely not for a history lesson, but for clever and hysterical "beware of dog" signs. Let's begin:
This is likely me as a dog owner.
If I had a small dog, I would totally get this!
Same goes for my house.
One way to find out!

This one is a must buy!
That’s for dang sure!
That is one clever sign! Makes your mind wonder about those “possibilities.”
