In November, Carrie Underwood revealed that she had suffered a bad fall outside her home. Afterward, she was left with a broken wrist and 40-50 stitches in her face.
On New Years Day, she released a letter sharing some of the difficulties that she went through after the fall. She shared, “I honestly don’t know how things are going to end up but I do know this: I am grateful. I am grateful that it wasn’t much, much worse. And I am grateful for the people in my life that have been there every step of the way.”
She shared the letter with her fan club, letting them know that she might look a little different, but she’s still determined. “I am determined to make 2018 amazing and I want to share things with you along the way. And when I am ready to get in front of a camera, I want you all to understand why I might look a bit different.”
Her latest update is even more good news! After having a metal plate implanted in her wrist, she had her latest checkup. Apparently, everything is healing up perfectly. In her post she shared, “Last check up on the old wrist this morning!...I’m good to go!”
Even though Carrie needed a few months for her wrist to heal, she hasn’t completely disappeared. She’s been working through her injuries.
Recently, she released her latest song for the Super Bowl. The song is titled “The Champion” and it features the rapper, Ludacris. The music video will premiere during the game.
We’re so glad Carrie is doing so much better! Hopefully, she’s been able to have a little downtime to recover and spend some time with her husband and son.
