Cash Reward for Three Missing Oregon Kids: Non-Custodial Parents May Be Hiding Them

According to the Tigard, Oregon police, the non-custodial mother of three children may be hiding them just after losing custody. Authorities are asking for help.



The three children are 5-year-old Aaliyah Griffin, 3-year-old Genesis Brechtbill-Griffin, and 7-month-old Neveah Brechtbill-Griffin. According to the Tigard Police Department, the children are listed as missing and endangered.

The mother, pictured below, is 27-year-old Jowanda Rita Griffin. She lost her parental rights in February. The Oregon Department of Human Services now has custody of these three children.



Griffin was indicted and arrested for second-degree custodial interference after not disclosing the children's whereabouts to DHS. She is no longer in custody.


The father of two of the younger children, 32-year-old James Jonathan Brechtbill, is currently wanted for parole violation. Brechtbill and Griffin may be with the children, according to KPTV.


Police are asking for help. The children are missing and endangered. Once the children are found, they will be taken to into protective custody, according to police.

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information leading to an arrest; tipsters can remain anonymous.


Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Griffin, Brechtbill, or the children can submit an anonymous tip by calling 503-823-4357.
