Our favorite HGTV stars, Chip and Joanna Gaines, recently purchased a new home. The home is a historic property known as the "Bradshaw Estate," which is located on Hillcrest Drive in Waco, Texas.

The previous owners, Garry and Jane Dossey, had a difficult time putting this beauty up for sale. The couple had two decades of difficult labor, yet an abundance of joy, with this 20th-century house.

“It’s been a labor of love,” Garry said. “At times it’s almost killed us.”

The Dossey's couldn't have asked for a better buyer: Chip and Joanna Gaines!

“My greatest fear was that the house would fall to someone who didn’t appreciate it or have the financial resources to continue to care for it,” said Garry Dossey, a Waco dentist. “A 110-year-old house needs some care. I think the Magnolia people will have the resources to do it.”

Even though it is in good hands, the Gaineses don't know exactly what they will be doing with the home just yet.

The six-bedroom Greek Revival-style house was built in 1903 and is 4,831 square feet sitting on two acres. The list price is no longer listed, but last year it was set at $525,000 but later reduced to $498,000.

The house sits across the historic Cobbs-Walker Cemetery and just a few blocks from the homestead of James Walker's 1850s farmhouse. Walker is a Texas Revolution veteran.

During the World War 1, this neighborhood was part of Camp MacArthur. The road, Hillcrest Drive, was a route to the hospital that was founded in 1920.

Such a fun, historical area. Owning a piece of history would be amazing! What do you think about this new addition? Let us know in the comment section.
