Have you ever had one of those days where nothing seems to be going your way? Not this deer.
A man walking his dog on the beach one early morning in England witnessed the joyful deer’s trek down the beach. Where was the deer off to? His doe-friend’s house? We’ll never know.
Dave Mott, 48, was taking an early morning stroll down the beach when he saw something strange approaching.
“I was walking with my dog, Lana, and I looked out at the harbor because I noticed the tide looked particularly low,” said Mott.
“At that moment, I spotted something moving in the distance. At first I thought it was a dog, but it was too big,” he continued. “As it got closer I realized it was a deer.”
“There was only me and one other dog walker who saw it, so it was quite a special moment,” Mott said.

This deer is believed to be a part of a herd that lives in a nature preserve on an island out in the harbor. It somehow must have swum a short ways across the harbor to end up on the beach with Mott and his dog.
But why the happy bounce? Maybe it was glad to finally be free from its oppressive and demanding herd for some much needed alone time. Or maybe it had a few too many shots of espresso in its early morning coffee.
