Some devastating news has just recently come in about a famous singer in the hospital after possibly overdosing on drugs.
On Tuesday, July 24, singer Demi Lovato was rushed to the hospital for an apparent drug overdose, according to the singer's representative.
According to CNN, a source exclusively tells them that Lovato was admitted into the emergency room as a result of an overdose.
CNN was also able to confirm from the Los Angeles Fire Department that they received a call at 11:22 a.m. for emergency responders to rush a 25-year-old female to the hospital.
Also, CNN reports that the local police department told them that Lovato was currently at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. The drug she allegedly overdosed on has not been disclosed.
"Demi is awake and with her family, who want to express thanks to everyone for the love, prayers, and support," the statement from Lovato's representative read.
"Some of the information being reported is incorrect and they respectfully ask for privacy and not speculation as her health and recovery is the most important thing right now."
At this time, the singer is awake and stable. She is currently surrounded by loved ones.
