Although no one in the public forum can agree on the exact due date of the first child of Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan, one thing is clear. It’s either already happened (which some outlets are saying) for that it will happen VERY soon! We have proof!!
And what is that sure sign that it will be ‘any day’ now?
Multiple sources are reporting that Doria Ragland, 62, has arrived in London. The grandmother-to-be reportedly traveled from her Los Angeles home this week to be with her daughter when she gives birth to ‘Baby Sussex’ in the coming days.
Ragland, who is said to be "very close" to Meghan, was the only member of the former Hollywood actress’ family to attend her and Harry’s May 19th wedding.
Ragland made a second trip to the UK in September to be by her daughter's side when she hosted a royal event.
“She joined Prince Harry in accompanying Meghan to Kensington Palace for a celebration marking the publication of Together: Our Community Cookbook, which the Duchess of Sussex helped create to benefit those affected by the Grenfell Tower fire tragedy.
Then, in October when the rest of the world was let in on the happy news of the upcoming royal birth, the grandma-to-be made her feelings very clear.
“Ms. Ragland is very happy about this lovely news and she looks forward to welcoming her first grandchild,” the statement read.
Over the past several months, as the royal birth draws near, rumors circulated that Doria was moving from California to be near to her daughter, the now Duchess of Sussex. But, insiders are saying that, although Doria will be making trips to the UK to visit, there are no immediate plans for Ms. Ragland to move in with the royal couple anytime soon.
But, once the little one arrives and Doria falls in love with her very first grandchild, she may change her mind in a hurry.
For now, however, she seems happy to just be with Meghan to share her only daughter’s last few days of pregnancy. And we would imagine that she is beside herself with excitement and anticipation as the final days tick away.
It’s only a matter time now before she’ll be snuggling that tiny prince or princess in her arms. And I imagine that we can expect to see the proud grandmother around for the foreseeable future.
