After two weeks of searching for missing Texas mom, Emily Wade, Investigators have some bad news to share. A body has been discovered in a creek bed not far from where she was last seen. Her identity has not been confirmed, but the remains match the description given of the 38-year-old Ennis, Texas resident.

“A body with the description of Emily Wade, 38, was discovered late Monday morning by search volunteers 'in a creek bed that was known to be flooding on the night' of her disappearance, the Ennis Police Department wrote on Facebook.

“Emily Wade, 38, of Ennis, was last seen around 5 p.m. on Jan. 5, the local police department said on Facebook.

“The mother-of-one left a Chili's co-worker's home around 8:30 p.m. after the two watched a movie together, according to her mother, who said it's unlike Wade to disappear.”

Wade and her seven-year-old daughter lived with Wade’s mother, Shirley Wade, who spoke out after her daughter’s disappearance.

“This is the worst nightmare a mother could ever go through... not knowing anything,” her mother, Shirley Wade, told Fox affiliate KDFW. “She said she’d be gone a couple hours and I believed her. And I still believe she was planning on coming on home.”

According to Fox News, Emily’s mother, the co-worker with whom Emily said she was going to spend the evening, and Emily’s ex-boyfriend and father of her daughter Jared Jones have all been cleared by the police.

Now police are awaiting positive identification and case of death from the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Once further information is available, we will report it here.

In the meantime, please join us in praying for Emily’s family - especially her little girl who is going to have some sad days ahead.
