Yesterday was a scary day for Jaime King and her 4-year-old son, James Knight Newman, when a man jumped on top of her Mercedes-Benz and began smashing windows.
According to E! News, the scary incident took place in Beverly Hills Wednesday afternoon. Much of the frightening aftermath was captured by paparazzi who were already in the area.
"On April 4, 2018, at approximately 4:43 PM, the Beverly Hills Police Department received several calls of a vehicle vandalism in the 400-block of N. Bedford Drive. Police arrived within minutes and promptly detained the suspect," the Beverly Hills Police Department said in a statement.
The shattered glass struck King's son while he was secured in his car seat, according to the Beverly Hills Police Department. Her other son, 2-year-old Leo, was already out of the vehicle when the attack happened; he is said to be unharmed.
King's female friend, who was later identified as Judit Balogh, was still in the car with James when the attack occurred. She emerged from the car to protect James from the attacker but was hit with a bottle.
"The four-year-old child was secured in a child car seat positioned in the back seat of the vehicle as the suspect jumped on the rear windshield causing glass to shatter and strike the child," the police department said. "In an effort to protect the child, the female driver exited the vehicle and confronted the suspect at which time he threw a can at her, striking her arm."
The suspect was later identified as 47-year-old Paul Francis Floyd. He was arrested at the scene for felony child endangerment, misdemeanor battery, and two counts of felony vandalism.
He is currently held on bail for $100,000 and is scheduled to appear in court at the Airport Courthouse this month. At this time, there were no updates on James' condition. However, it's assumed that the boy did not suffer any serious injuries.
Please keep Jaime King and her family in your prayers. In other news, a legendary country music singer has canceled his tour due to severe health issues.
