Friendly Deer Stops by Colorado Store, Loves It, Brings Friends Over Later for More

December 27, 2017

Lori Jones of Stout, Colorado (population: 47.5… Yep, you read that right.), works at the local Horsetooth Inn and RV Park. Earlier this month, something happened that she will never forget.

About three weeks ago, Jones says that a mama deer walked into the store like she owned the place. Her first stop? The sunglasses rack of course.

After the deer toured the store for a few minutes, Jones successfully lured the deer back outside with some snacks. Jones marveled at the strange encounter and thought that was the last she would see of the deer.

But she was wrong.

Later that same day, the same deer returned to the shop, and this time she had company.

“Later, I was in the office checking the store stock,” said Jones. “I walked out and there she was with her twins and a lone buck that she nursed. I just used my phone to snap the pics. I laughed so hard!”
