The Royal Family has another lavish wedding in the near future, and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are thrilling fans with the news that their family will play prominent roles.

On Sunday it was announced that Prince Williams lifelong friend, Thomas van Straubenzee will marry Lucy Lanigan-O’Keeffe, one of the teachers at Prince George’s school.

William is expected to serve as an usher at the ceremony, but even better news is that his and Kate’s two eldest children will also make an appearance.

Prince George and Princess Charlotte are reportedly ready to step into the roles in which the two have become quite the pros: bridesmaid and page boy!

“According to the Sunday Times, the godfather to 4-year-old Charlotte proposed to Lucy Lanigan-O’Keeffe, an assistant headteacher at Thomas’ Battersea School in London, where George, who turns 6 on July 22, is currently enrolled.

"Charlotte will start at the prestigious school in September.”

The announcement conjures up lovely memories of the royal pair’s prior appearances in elaborate weddings of the past.

George and Charlotte nearly stole the show when they served as page boy and bridesmaid on at least three prior occasions.

How could we forget how the darling duo charmed us all as they walked down the aisle for the weddings of Aunt Pippa and James Matthews in May of 2017;

Uncle Harry and Meghan Markle in May of 2018;

And cousin Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank in October of 2018.

Each time, they somehow managed to be even more adorable than the time before.

And we are certain that they will again top themselves when Thomas and Lucy walk down the aisle.

No wedding date has been announced.

The connection between the Thomas’ family and William and Harry goes way back. Thomas Van Straubenzee and his younger brother, Charlie, 31, "attended Berkshire’s Ludgrove School with William and Harry, along with their late brother, Henry, who died in a car crash at the age of 18."

“Van Straubenzee participated in his pal's wedding; he served as an usher and gave a toast during the 2011 royal wedding reception.”

William is not the only Royal who is close to the van Straubenzees.

“The van Straubenzees' connection to the royal family extends to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, as well. Charlie van Straubenzee, Thomas' younger brother, is very close with the Duke of Sussex.

“So close, in fact, that the outlet reports that he will likely be named baby Archie's godfather during the child's christening in July."

We can hardly wait to see George and Charlotte in their wedding finery, performing the roles they have come to know so well.

The adorable royal siblings are sure to steal the show at Thomas and Lucy’s wedding - just as they have always done in the past!
