Famed 1980s sitcom star, Harry Anderson, who was best known for his character as Judge Harry T. Stone on "Night Court" has passed away. He was 65 years old.
The actor was found dead inside his Asheville, North Carolina home, according to reports.
The Asheville Police Department said in a statement that officers were responding to a call from Anderson's house on Monday. When they arrived, Anderson was dead.
Authorities don't believe there was any foul play suspected. However, Fox News sourced TMZ who reported that Anderson's son, Dashiell, said that he died from natural causes. TMZ has since taken down that report.
Anderson has dabbled around in a lot of shows, including "Cheers," "The Hat," "Dave's World," and "Saturday Night Live." But fans may remember him for his off-the-wall character in "Night Court."
Over the years, Anderson began to lay low and only occasionally appearing in other sitcoms as a guest. These shows included "Son of the Beach," and "30 Rock."
Anderson survived his two children with his first wife and his wife, Elizabeth Morgan, from his second marriage.
Please keep the family in your prayers during this difficult time.
