The biggest take from the interview were the questions about Bill's sexual allegations (Amanpour used the term "harassment" — another softball pitch) and the comparison between those allegations of Trump or Kavanaugh.
Quick Note: Bill Clinton was not accused of just harassment. He was accused of rape (Juanita Broaddrick), sexual assault (Kathleen Willey & Leslie Millwee), and propositioned for sex and indecent exposure (Paula Jones), according to "Business Insider."
"Obviously, you’re going to be prepared to have questions about that moment in 1998, the impeachment, the allegations of sexual harassment against your own husband. Are you prepared to answer those questions? Is he prepared to answer them? And how do you see that similar or different from what President Trump is being accused of and Kavanaugh and others today?"
Here is Hillary's Reply:
"There’s a very significant difference. And that is the intense, long-lasting partisan investigation that was conducted in the ’90s. If, you know, the Republicans, starting with President Trump on down, want a comparison, they should welcome such an investigation themselves."
Kavanaugh not only endured a three-week, thorough partisan investigation conducted by the FBI, the Senate Judiciary Committee, and the media, he walked out exonerated.
Bill Clinton settled on the indecent exposure case with Jones, was caught lying about his affair with Monica Lewinsky, and committed perjury.
Amanpour's follow up to Hillary's comment was: "Hillary Clinton, thank you very much indeed for joining me."
