Who says 56 is too old to become a new mom? Not ‘Today’ host Hoda Kotb, that’s for sure! The beloved tv star has just announced that she has adopted her second little girl.
Little Hope Catherine joins big sister Haley Joy whom Kotb adopted two years ago.
The happy news was announced via telephone during the April 14th episode of the morning program.
“‘It’s a girl! And her name is Hope!’ Kotb, 54, could be heard saying through tears over the phone as her fellow Today personalities wiped their eyes.”
The ‘Today’ show issued a similar statement, along with their congratulations, on its Instagram page.
“Congratulations are in order for @hodakotb, who adopted a second little girl, Hope Catherine, this week. 💕”
The joyful announcement came just one day after Kotb ‘teased’ the upcoming adoption on her own Instagram account. Now we know what she meant:
We want to wish Hoda and her two daughters all the best as they move toward the futures a happy family of three.
