Parents Thrown Into Panic After Report Of 'Metal Foreign Matter' In Baby Formula Sparks Massive Recall

The Perrigo company are issuing an urgent warning to consumers who may have purchased their milk-based infant formula after reports that “metal foreign matter” has been found in the product.

The product in question is the Parent's Choice Advantage Infant Formula Milk-Based Powder with Iron, sold at Walmart stores throughout the nation.

Perrigo is issuing a voluntary recall until the situation can be resolved.

The recall was issued after a customer reported that they found the metal objects in the product.

“Perrigo Company plc said the recall affects its 35-ounce, 992-gram containers of Parent’s Choice Advantage Infant Formula Milk-Based Powder with Iron.”

“The company said 23,388 containers are affected by the recall and that they are marked with Lot Code C26EVFV with a ‘use by’ date of Feb. 26, 2021.

“Consumers who purchased the product are advised to stop using it, and to return it to Walmart for a refund.”
