Ten days after a Connecticut mother of five went missing, her estranged husband and his current girlfriend have been arrested in connection with the case.

Jennifer Dulos and her husband Fotis had been going through a bitter divorce when Jennifer suddenly disappeared on May 24th. Custody of the couple's five children has been the main point of contention in the proceedings.

Jennifer’s estranged husband, “Fotis Dulos, 51, and his girlfriend, 44-year-old Michelle Troconis, were arrested Sunday and charged with fabricating or tampering with evidence and hindering prosecution.”

"Dulos and Troconis were detained at a hotel Saturday night after authorities searched his Farmington mansion. A DNA sample was also taken from Dulos, as New Canaan police confirmed over the weekend."

Multiple sources are reporting that blood matching Jennifer's was found in Dulos’ trash.

“Dulos was in the midst of a longstanding custody battle with her husband of 13 years, from whom she filed for divorce in 2017. A hearing in the case had been scheduled for Wednesday morning."

The Advocate reports "Dulos and her husband had a temporary shared custody agreement pending the finalization of their divorce. Their children range in age from 8 to 13.” but, Jennifer was not happy with that. She believed her kids were in danger and went to court to get full custody.

According to court documents, Dulos said she was ‘afraid’ of her husband. "I know that filing for divorce, and filing this motion will enrage him," she's quoted as saying in a 2017 custody filing. "I know he will retaliate by trying to harm me in some way."

Those words seem to have been eerily prophetic as the search for the missing woman enters its second week.

The court denied Mrs. Dulos' request, leaving the children continuing to spend time with both parents.

“The plaintiff has not established by a preponderance of the evidence that there is an immediate and present risk of physical danger or psychological harm to the parties’ children. As a result, the request for emergency relief is denied,” an order from the court in July 2017 reads.

'Court paperwork says blood was found in garage/ inside New Canaan home of Jennifer Dulos. Police have video of what appears to be both, Fotis Dulos and Michelle Troconis, placing multiple garbage bags into trash bins in Hartford."

Their five children remain under armed guard with their grandmother during the search. Please pray for them.
