The husband of a famous television star will be deported back to his country once he's released from prison next year.
Giuseppe "Joe" Giudice, the husband of "Real Housewives Of New Jersey" star Teresa Giudice, appeared in court on Wednesday in front of a Pennsylvania judge who ordered him to go back to Italy.
Kathryn Mattingly, a spokeswoman for the Executive Office of Immigration Review, says that Giudice has 30 days to appeal the judge's decision, according to "News12."
Giudice is an Italian citizen and arrived in the United States when he was an infant, but he was unaware that he wasn't an American citizen. The reason he was in prison, however, was due to fraud and failing to pay taxes. He is currently serving a 3-year sentence for these crimes.
Giudice is currently being held at FCI Allenwood, which is about 165 miles northwest of Philadelphia, according to "News12." According to prison documents, he is set to be released in March 2019.
Back in 2014, the Giudice couple pleaded guilty to bankruptcy fraud and submitting false loan applications so they could receive $5 million worth of mortgages and construction loans. Also, Guidice pleaded guilty for not paying his $200,000 on his income taxes.
For Teresa's charges, she was sentenced to nearly one year in prison. She was freed in December 2015.
The couple has four daughters ranging in ages from 9 to 17.
