Some heartbreaking news has come into the newsroom this morning. A popular boy band singer has just announced that he lost his father to a chronic illness.
Kim Jong In, or known by his stage name as Kai, is a singer for the popular K-pop group, "EXO." Reports released the very few details of his death today.
“Kai’s father passed away yesterday due to a chronic illness," a source said. "Kai is currently staying at the wake, and the funeral will be held quietly with family and relatives.”

"EXO" is a South Korean-Chinese boy band located in Seoul. The band debuted in 2012 and has nine bandmates: Suho, Baekhyun, Chanyeol, D.O., Kai, Sehun, Xiumin, Lay, and Chen.
The group has been praised for their music variety time and time again, and has included traditional genres such as hip-hop, R and B, and pop. Their first album was released in 2013 with the huge hit single, "Growl."
This song was critical as it helped their album win them both the Disc Daesang at the 28th Golden Disc Awards and Album of the Year at the 15th Mnet Asian Music Awards.
