Today, July 9th was a big and beautiful day for the royal family. Prince Louis and his family were welcomed at St. James's Palace this morning for the 11-week-old's christening.
The cherished tradition was conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Reverend Justin Welby. The young prince was accompanied by his parents, Prince William and Kate Middleton, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, and Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles.
At this event, it wasn't just Louis, nor Prince George or Princess Charlotte who stole the show, it was Duchess Kate herself. Kate looked strikingly beautiful and well rested from her maternity leave, which is still ongoing until this Autumn.
The happy mother wore an Alexander McQueen dress with a structured shoulder detail. She wore a beautiful Jane Taylor headpiece that complimented her entire look. And, of course, precious Prince Louis was carried in her arms.
Aside from her glamorous outfit, fans couldn't help but notice how Kate was looking at her newborn son. Her gaze fixed on her little prince will bring tears to your eyes. In these photos, you can see how enthralled she is with her son and how excited she is to share this moment with her family.
Many fans have been anticipating this big day because of two reasons. One, we get to see the sweet prince and two, we get to see the beloved Kate Middleton.
Kate has stepped out into the public's eye during her maternity leave but has tucked herself away from her royal responsibilities. She was last seen at the Trooping the Colour event earlier in June, and of course, attended Harry and Meghan's wedding in May.
It is great to see Kate out looking well rested and healthy. We hope she enjoys the rest of her maternity leave! What do you think about Prince Louis' christening? Let us know! In other news, if you get a phone call from this area code, do NOT answer it!
