No one ever said being a celebrity was going to be easy. They typically have to deal with all kinds of pressures; this can include keeping a skinny figure, but at the same time, they are encouraged to be seen partying and consuming alcohol. Unfortunately, some are even pressured to do drugs. For some "average" folks, sadly, this sounds a lot like high school or college.
Once a celebrity takes it too far, they are sent to treatment facilities. Take the recent "Batman" star, Ben Affleck, for example, who was just confronted by his ex-wife. She staged an intervention and told him he had to seek treatment for his alcohol abuse. He was admitted into a rehab facility on August 23.
A lot of the time, for female celebrities, weight management is a real struggle. Most directors and producers require their actors or entertainers to look a certain way, more specifically, weigh a certain amount.
For some celebrities, this level of stress can take a real toll on them resulting in alcohol or drug abuse, which may result in treatment facilities
A beloved "American Idol" singer had been criticized for her weight gain for several years now, but recently, she showed the world a slimmer figure. Once she revealed her new figure at a public event, fans were shocked and thrilled by her new look. Many were speechless but overjoyed by her decision to drop some weight.
On Wednesday, August 22, Kelly Clarkson displayed her healthy-looking figure at a Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony that honored her good friend and former "American Idol" judge Simon Cowell.
36-year-old Clarkson was striking in a black and yellow floral dress tied together with a black belt. She was seen posing with Cowell, who was wearing his usual half-button white shirt. During the ceremony, Clarkson took a moment at the podium to say a few kind words about her 58-year-old friend.
“He’s the best friend you can ever have … He’s honest and supportive," she said according to Fox News, as Cowell was awarded with a star on the famous Hollywood Boulevard.
“[Simon] appreciates authenticity even if it’s not something he’s into. He appreciates you being yourself. That’s very rare in this industry," she said.
Last June, Clarkson shared the news that she had been struggling with an autoimmune disease and a thyroid issue. Both these have made it hard for her to lose weight, but then she stumbled upon something. And it wasn't exercise.
What Did She Do?
Instead, the talented singer gave all the credit to a book.
“I literally read this book, and I did it for this autoimmune disease that I had, and I had a thyroid issue, and now all my levels are back up," Clarkson told Extra.
"I’m not on medicine anymore because of this book," she said.
Clarkson is crediting her weight loss to "The Plant Paradox" book written by Steven R. Gundy.
She said that she strictly followed the book and the results were 40 pounds less. Her fans were blowing up her Instagram picture with supportive comments and congratulating her.
