Hillary Scott of Lady Antebellum has been taking a break from her usual road duties ever since she gave birth to twins. The mother of three has been spending quality time with her family and has shared an update.
Betsy Mack and Emory JoAnn were born on January 29th, growing their family of three into a family of five in an instant. Hillary and her husband, drummer Chris Tyrell, are adjusting to two babies in the house and all are doing well.
Hillary posted on Instagram a photo of her cuddling up with her two little girls and updating everyone on her family.
“So hard to believe it’s been 12 weeks with these little miracles in our arms!” she wrote. “Life with these two and their big sis is just the sweetest gift.”
“I’m overwhelmed by God’s love for His children,” she continued. “I’m a proud Mama because these girls were 4 lbs 10 oz. when they came home, and now they are nearing 12 lbs!”
Before becoming pregnant with the twins, Hillary and Chris suffered a miscarriage. “It took me a while to fully recover after the miscarriage just because it was physically and emotionally difficult,” she said.
When she heard the news that she was pregnant with twins, it was an especially emotional moment for her.
“It was emotional, because I’m like, ‘Oh, we’re going to have as many babies in our house as I hoped we would have.’ It just isn’t the same timing that I thought it was going to be, but we are going to have our three.”
Having twins is a “double blessing from the Lord,” she says. “That firth night after they were born I told Chris, ‘It’s pretty cool we don’t have to share. You can have on, and I can hold one,’” she said. “We can each hold a baby all the time.”
We all pray for God’s continued blessing on this beautiful family!
