In the early morning on the Pacific Coast, several earthquakes rocked the southern region of California within a 12 hour period.
Just before 5 a.m. Tuesday morning, two earthquakes rattled a small town of 4,000 people. Cabazon is approximately 45 miles east of Los Angeles.
The first earthquake was marked at a 4.5 magnitude and the second was at 3.2, according to CNN.
However, on Monday, just about 12 hours earlier, another series of earthquakes hit California. The first one occurred around 5:39 p.m. Monday evening just a few miles east of Ocotillo Wells. Ocotillo Wills is about 50 miles north of the Mexico border. This earthquake was the smallest of them all registering at 2.5 magnitude.
About an hour earlier, another one hit the Pacific Ocean registering at a 4.5 magnitude, 56 miles west of the a northern town of Ferndale. Ferndale is a small town with about 1,400 people living there.
All four earthquakes struck at a depth of about 7 to 10 miles, which according to seismologist, that is considered not very deep.
