Little Girl Writes To Google Asking To Give Her Daddy a Day Off

November 02, 2017

Oh, the joys of having children. The things they say and do will leave us smiling and shaking our heads.

This little girl's dad, was doing just that after he saw a letter she sent to his work, Google. The sweet girl, Katie, made some valid points and anyone reading this would have a difficult time countering her point of view.

"Dear Google Worker,

Can you please make sure when daddy goes to work, he gets one day off. Like he can get a day off on Wednesday. Because daddy only gets a day off on Saturday.
From, Katie
P.S. It is Daddy’s BIRTHDAY
P.P.S. It is summer, you know."

Once Senior Design Manager, Daniel Shiplacoff, her dad's boss at Google, received this letter from Katie, he knew exactly what he had to do. Daniel appreciated Katie's innocents and thoughtful request — how could he say no?

Thankfully, Daniel exceeded Katie's wishes. He drafted a response letter of his own and sent it to Katie, saying:

While this letter went viral back in 2014, it's still a great reminder that life is too short. Spend as much time as you can with the people you love. A Google spokesperson confirmed with TheBlaze that these letters from Katie and Daniel were authentic.
