Police are responding to a robbery attempt at a mall in McAllen, Texas. The Hidalgo County Precinct 4 wrote on Facebook that a person with a gun was at the La Plaza Mall in McAllen, according to the "Associated Press."
Reports are saying that multiple police departments have responded to the situation. At this time, the McAllen police department, Texas Department of Public Safety, and Hidalgo County Sheriff's office have all arrived on scene.
Both dispatchers for McAllen police department and the Hidalgo County Sheriff's office have declined to comment or answer any questions from the "Associated Press."
One of the police chief's has provided an update: "All-known suspects in custody in apparent robbery attempt at Texas mall and no shots were fired."
McAllen is located in southern Texas; a few short miles from the Mexico border. It is a popular shopping center in the Rio Grande Valley.
