Robin Williams is a grandpa!
The late actor’s son, Zak Williams just announced that he and fiancée Olivia June have welcomed their first child, a boy. And the little guy’s name pays loving honor to the beloved ‘Alladin’ star.
McClaurin Clement Williams arrived on May 22nd, weighing in at an even eight pounds. The couple shared exclusive photos with PEOPLE, taken by Zak's sister, Zelda.
Few people realize that Robin’s middle name was McLaurin, and Zak and Olivia believed it would pay a fitting tribute to the man who meant so much to the baby’s dad. The newborn will be called ‘Mickey’ for short.
The happy news comes almost five years after Robin died of suicide at the age of 63. Robin had three children Zak, Zelda, and Cody.
Zak is Robin's eldest child, whose mother is Robin's first wife, Valerie Velardi. The couple was married for ten years before divorcing in 1988.
Williams married two more times and had Zelda and Cody with second wife Marsha. He was married to Susan Schneider at the time of his tragic death.
We can only imagine what a fabulous grandpa Robin would have been and the new parents must be missing his more than ever now that little ‘Mickey’ has arrived.
