It was the appearance true royal fans had been waiting for.
Even though she gave birth just two months ago, and with the little prince’s christening looming two days away, busy mom and Duchess extraordinaire Meghan Markle stole away to Wimbledon to sit with the commoners and cheer on American BFF Serena Williams.
The former American actress made the scene on her home country’s 243rd birthday, July 4, 2019.
And instead of decking out to the nines and sitting in the royal box, the new mom elected to sit courtside with two of her good friends, Genevieve Hillis, and Lindsay Roth.
Last year, Meghan was caught off guard by the strict dress code of the royal seating at the iconic tennis tournament. Although she brought along her beloved Panama hat, she was not permitted to wear it due to rules preventing hats.
This year she looked utterly delighted that her chapeau could rest right where it belonged - atop the duchess’ beautiful head!
Looking completely relaxed in jeans, black too, and familiar-looking blazer, she donned her shades and looked every inch the California girl.
In spite of successfully paying homage to her former Hollywood days, Meghan exuded the Royal essence she has so expertly acquired over the past 18 months.
Looking to be, without a doubt, at the top of her Duchess game, Meghan cheered on pal Serena to a 2-6, 6-2, and 6-4 win over Slovenia’s Kaja Juvan.
Two days after the surprise appearance at Wimbledon, Duchess Meghan fans got another treat. Pictures of sweet little Archie’s christening on July 6th.
The Sussexes released two darling photos of the special event: one of the family members who attended, and another of the new family of three.
Although the twice-in-one-week sighting Meghan, et al, was a special treat, fans can’t help but be left begging for more.
The gorgeous photos have merely whetted our appetites for the day when Harry, Meghan (and, hopefully, baby Archie) will return to to the public arena.
