Missing 1-Week-Old Baby in Serious Danger of Physical Abuse or Death; Police Asking for Help

An Amber Alert has been issued by the police in Montour Falls, New York for a 15-day-old baby girl. Officials believe she is in imminent danger and has gone missing since May 10, according to local reports.

 

 

The child was born last month in April and is believed to be in the hands of her mother, 31-year-old Katrina Harter. The child's name is Gionna Harter and was allegedly abducted at 325 Rock Cabin Road in Montour Falls.

 

Police believe that Katrina took the child to avoid a Family Court Order, which transfers the custody of Gionna to another party.

 

 

Katrina is described as a black woman, 5-foot-3-inches, weighing 332 pounds. She is said to have curly black hair with brown eyes.

 

She was last seen wearing a blue shirt and headed south on N. Exchange St. in Geneva. Police believe she has connections in Wayne County and may be heading there.

 

 

Gionna is described as a black girl, 18 inches tall with brown eyes. She is a little over a week old.

 

The Schuyler County Sheriff's office is the department conducting the investigation. Police are asking for the public's help. If you know of their whereabouts, you are asked to call 911 or 1-866-697-2623.
