Earlier this morning, police in Tulsa, Oklahoma were asking for the public's help in finding a woman who abducted a 7-year-old child after stabbing an 11-year-old girl.
The police responded to a 9-1-1 call when residents in the neighborhood reported a stabbing Monday night. The stabbing and abduction allegedly happened near Apache Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
Investigators said that 39-year-old Taheerah Ahmad took her 7-year-old daughter after stabbing her 11-year-old daughter.
Prior to the abduction, Ahmad duct-taped and gagged her three daughters with socks. Her daughters are ages 7, 9, and 11. The 9-year-old girl said that her 7-year-old sister helped her escape when their mother began stabbing their oldest sister.
The 11-year-old "was stabbed so many times that officers and EMSA on scene couldn’t even count them," Tulsa Police Officer Jeanne MacKenzie said.
After the 9-year-old found help, the police arrived and found the 11-year-old girl with the kitchen on fire.
Two women were walking through a parking lot Tuesday afternoon near Cameron and Main Street when they noticed a vehicle that appeared to be similar to the one in the Amber Alert. They also noticed a woman that was similar to the description provided.
When the Tulsa Police detectives arrived, they found Ahmed and her daughter. Ahmed is now in custody.
The 11-year-old girl who was stabbed is unconscious and in critical condition. Tuesday morning, police say that she is in "very severe" condition and underwent intubation.
