Late Monday night, six people were reported dead after a small plane crashed into a Phoenix, Arizona golf course. Just minutes after takeoff, the plane burst into flames, according to reports.

Among the crew and passengers, there were no survivors once the emergency personnel arrived. The crash happened at around 8:45 p.m. on the Champions Course which is located north of Scottsdale Airport, according to the Scottsdale Police Department.
Names of the victim have yet to be released due to proper protocol to inform next of kin and identification of the victims.

The National Transportation Safety Board rushed to the scene of the accident and are currently investigating. According to Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Ian Gregor, the plane was a Piper PA-24 Comanche. It's a single engine and likely had six seats, but some have only four seats.

The incident happened on the sister course of the Stadium Course where the PGA holds the Phoenix Open in February. At this time, Gregor said that there are no reports of injuries from people on the ground.
