April 30, 2019

Fans all over the world are saying a tearful goodbye to former child star Mya-Lecia Naylor after hearing the tragic news that the promising young actress has died.

Naylor, who rose to fame on the BBC in various children’s programs, took ill and died suddenly in early April. A shroud of mystery surrounds the beautiful teen actress’ death.

Now, nearly a month later, the reason for her sudden and shocking demise has still not been released.

According to the BBC, “Mya-Lecia, who appeared in CBBC shows ‘Millie Inbetween’ and ‘Almost Never,’ died on 7 April after she collapsed," her agents A&J Management said.

CBBC said she was a "much-loved part of the BBC Children's family and a hugely talented actress, singer, and dancer".

A&J Management said she was "hugely talented and a big part of A&J" and that they would "miss her greatly". It is not yet known how she died.

In a sad announcement released earlier this month, the CBBC said, "We are so sorry to have to tell you that Mya-Lecia, who you will know from Millie Inbetween and Almost Never, has very sadly died.

"Mya-Lecia was a much-loved part of the BBC Children’s family, and a hugely talented actress, singer, and dancer.

'We will miss her enormously and we are sure that you will want to join us in sending all our love to her family and friends," the CBBC said in its statement.⁣

Authorities say there is no set timeline for when the coroner will share more information about Mya’s untimely death.

"We know this news is very upsetting, and it may help to share how you are feeling with friends or a trusted adult. If you are struggling and there is no one you feel you can talk to about it, you can call @Childline_official on 0800 11 11.⁣ ⁣ You can also find an online condolence book on the CBBC website."

In a statement to The Hollywood Reporter, director of BBC Children's Alice Webb said, "We are distraught and so terribly sad to hear the news about Mya.

"She has shone so brightly on our screens, both in Millie Inbetween and Almost Never, and it's unthinkable that she won't be part of our journey going forward. She was hugely popular with our audience, a very talented actress, dancer and singer, and a real role model for her young fans."

The rising star began her television career in 2004 with the role of 'Baby Jane' in the iconic BBC iconic series, ‘Absolutely Fabulous,’ starring Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley.

She also appeared on the big screen, including 2012's ‘Cloud Atlas’ starring Tom Hanks and Halle Berry.

This kind of loss is so difficult to understand or accept. Please join us in praying for Mya-Lecia’s family, friends, and fans.
