National Guard C-130 Crashes in Savannah, Georgia

A C-130 transport aircraft from the Air National Guard 165th Airlift Wing has crashed near the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport in Georgia.

 

Officials say that the crash occurred at the intersection of GA 21 and Crossgate Road in Savannah.

 

The crash happened at around 11:30 a.m.

Roads near the crash have been shut down and authorities have warned motorists to avoid the area.

Reports have confirmed that there were five people aboard the aircraft. No word on the condition of the occupants or bystanders on the ground.
