The Goat Man is British biologist Thomas Thwaites, who created prosthetic limbs that allowed him to best mimic a goat. He then spent a few days living with goats in the foothills of the Alps to better understand their behavior.
For his efforts, Thwaites was awarded an Ig Nobel Prize, an award that highlights scientific discoveries and experiments that are bizarre and/or humorous in nature. Thwaites award was the Ig Nobel Prize for Biology.
