September 20, 2018

On Wednesday, September 19, a Pennsylvania man, who was apparently upset after receiving the final order of his divorce, attacked his ex-wife and killed his own parents. According to The Associated Press, he was upset that his ex-wife was awarded the home.

59-year-old Bruce Rogal drove to the house where his ex-wife was staying, went inside, pulled out his gun and shot at her. He missed.

He left the residence and traveled to the retirement center where his parents were staying in East Goshen where he shot and killed them. Their names were William and Nancy Rogal and they were both in their late 80s.

Rogal rushed out of the retirement center and drove off. Police issued an alert about the details of the vehicle he was driving. Shortly before 1 a.m. Thursday, State police spotted his car driving past the agency's Embreeville Barracks. A police chase ensued which involved the SWAT team.

Police helicopter aided in the pursuit and the officers followed Rogal a few miles into the West Bradford neighborhood where his ex-wife lives. The chase ended when Rogal's car crashed into the side of the house. One officer shot at the suspect, but it's not clear if Rogal returned fire.

Rogal died at the scene but officials have not disclosed the cause of death.

No officers were injured. There are no further details available at this time. What do you think about this? Let us know your thoughts!
